-Chapter 3-



Luna informed the other sailor scouts about what Lita had told her. They had been at their study session when Luna contacted them and were all too willing to ditch the studying and go help Lita.

They transformed there and ran over to the school...

Kari: Dot. Dot. DOT.

Victoria: There must be a way of removing this thing forever!
Kala: Face it, it's going to keep coming back.
Victoria: No! No! That can't beee!

Jupiter found Brekke cornered at the end of a hall by another monster.

Kari: (Jupiter) Gee. Not another.
ictoria: (Jupiter) Where's an exterminator when you need one?

This time it looked more like a fish crossed with a turtle. It had a shell and fins, which it continually flapped around. It also gripped in one of its clawed hands a staff made of dried coral.

Trish: Why did the fish cross the road?
Others: *silence*
Trish: To look more like a turtle! Heh! Heh! Heh...
Others: *sweatdrop*

With the coral staff, it knocked Brekke to the ground. The staff wrapped itself around her, making it impossible to stand up.

Victoria: I want one of those!
Brekke: Me too!

Sailor Jupiter saw all of this in a second.

Kala: Despite that annoying technicality that it took longer than a second to occur.
Kari: Dontcha hate that?

She realized she didn't have much time to stop it before the monster would take her crystal.

Victoria: So they're finally starting to figure out the plot?
Kala: What plot?
Trish: You know, the one where a Monster-of-the-Day appears, steals a crystal, and then they defeat it?

"I am Sailor Jupiter!"

Kari: (Brekke) No, I am!

She cried and the creature looked over as she continued, "and in the place of Jupiter, I shall punish you!"

Brekke: (Jupiter) With...! *dramatic pause* ...the duck of Jupiter!
Others: o.O;

The monster grinned and another coral staff was in its hand.

Kari: (Monster) Look mum! One hand!

It aimed it at her but Jupiter's thunder blast destroyed it.

Victoria: Gaseous.

Yet the monster just created another and threw it at her. It wrapped around her and Jupiter toppled to the ground. The monster turned back to Brekke and extracted her crystal.

Kari: That is a bloody awkward paragraph.
Kala: Anybody wish to bet what happens next?
Trish: Oh! Oh! Platos saves the day!
Victoria: Moon will probably appear with the rest of her bunch and kick butt.
Brekke: General...MAYHEM!
Kala: Kari?
Kari: Deus ex Machina.
Kala: o.O Right. Alright! And I'll go with a random animal intervention...
The creature examined the crystal, which was completely black. Brekke's crystal was so black that it didn't reflect any light.
Victoria: A-ha! Just like I always said! Brekke is EVIL!
Sailor Jupiter realized that Brekke's hair was much the same way.
Kala: (Jupiter) *blush* She looks just like my old boyfriend...
Others: o.o;

A man appeared next to the fish-turtle

Kari: And look! Accurate descriptions!

and grabbed the black crystal from its hands. Jupiter felt that there was something about the man.

Kala: (Jupiter) He actually IS my old boyfriend!

Then it came to her that he was the same one who had taken Trish's crystal. And again, Jupiter saw something was different with the crystal. It was a half crystal.

Kala: Oh! Watch for the cat!
Trish: (Jupiter) Stupid half crystals...they don't pawn nearly as much!

"Ah, yes, the second one. Now get rid of that nuisance!" The man said and pointed at Jupiter.

Victoria: (Man) And when you're finished, call the Exterminator!

"I don't think so!" Sailor Moon yelled from out of Jupiter's vision. "I stand for love and justice! In the place of the moon, I will punish you!"

Victoria: What did I say?
Kari: Hey, mine works here, too.
Kala: Vic' was more specific. She gets this one.

The man just frowned and disappeared.

Brekke: Dun. Dun. DUN.

"Hey! Come back!" Mars cried.

Trish: (Mars) We want to play!

The monster grinned and created five more coral staves.

Victoria: Geez, don't you wish you could do that? Infinite amount of staves...just to whack people with...

Mars threw her Mars celestial fire at the creature, but the staves absorbed it.

"What?!" She exclaimed.

Kala: (Mars) What? What? I can't hear you! WHAT?

As it held up the now glowing coral staves, the monster grinned again. Then it threw them at the five standing sailors. Jupiter winced as they screamed in pain from the fire locked in the coral as they fell to the ground.

Kari: Scream in pain from the fire locked in the coral as they fell to the ground! These sentences are so priceless...
Brekke: Shush, English teacher...

Unseen by the monster around the corner, Luna had brought the other half of the black crystal.

Kala: And Kala scores!
Victoria: o.O Ew.
Kala: *blinks* Whaa...?
Kari: *shakes head* Don't ask.

With it in her mouth, she ran behind the monster as it absorbed the fire and placed it on Brekke's chest.

Trish: And why would the monster be placing fire on Brekke?
Victoria: Yeah. We all hate her, but isn't she already dead?

A moment after it had disappeared, she awoke, dazed.

Kari: (Brekke) I'm not dead yet! I'm getting better!
Victoria: Dangit.

Luna wasted no time in bringing her memory back.

Trish: Didn't she waste time in bringing her memory back?

"Transform!" She whispered and ran to distract the monster.

Kari: (Brekke) Transform? What? Do you mean to say the transformers are blown again? Daaang...
Victoria: (Producer) Mangy cat! She's shirking her explaining duties again! And demanding a raise! Oy, animals these days...

Brekke nodded and shouted, "Mikos star power!"

Brekke: (herself)...make up!
Kala: And how did she know to say that in the first place? I smell...a plot hole!

She transformed into Sailor Mikos, wearing a sailor uniform except it was completely black.

Kari: Does that make it not a sailor uniform?

The monster was creating another coral staff as Mikos yelled her welcome.

Victoria: (Mikos) HEY! I'm MIKOS! I'm an IDIOT!
Kala: (Mikos) Hullo! *waves cheerfully* Would you like to join me for a spot of tea?

"I am Sailor Mikos!"

Brekke: No! I am!

She yelled and the creature turned, throwing Luna to the side. "Keeper of the second dimension! And in the name of that dimension, I shall punish you!"

Kari: (Monster) What're you going to do? Draw me?

"Mikos," Platos mumbled with her eyes shut in pain as the fire coral zapped their strength.

Victoria: (Platos) Mikos, I LOVE YOU!

The monster grinned even wider and took the coral staff, now glowing an eerie orange, and threw it at her.

Kala: *loud whisper* Eerie orange means it's more powerful!

"Mikos aqua shock!" Mikos held her left hand high, her other at an angle, as black energy swirled up to her raised hand.

Trish: Oooh, the mutilation!

She released it in a wave of black, which hit the creature full in the midriff. It screeched and dissolved, leaving only a pile of muck.

Victoria: That. Is. Not. Right.
Trish: Even I know that Mikos' attacks are worthless...o.o;

The coral around the sailor scouts disappeared and they got up, groaning. Sailor Mikos smiled faintly then fainted from her use of her most powerful attack with only half her power.

Victoria: *falls out of her chair laughing* Most powerful attack!
Brekke: Duuuuuuude...

Lita returned her teacher's crystal as the others attended to Mikos who had gone back to Brekke. He opened his eyes after the crystal disappeared back into him.

Kari: (Teacher) Too...much...opium...
Kala: *loud whisper* Vic' missed the divider!
Victoria: *still laughing*

"I think I've been working too hard," he commented as he straightened himself up.

Trish: (Teacher) Gotta make sure those students are happy *winkwink*
Kari: o.o Trish...I never knew you could think like that...

Lita just nodded and smiled. Then she picked up Brekke's things, explaining that she had left without them.

Kala: (Lita) See, she was beaten unconscious by this monster and in the midst of that, she kinda forgot about her stuff.

Victoria: *waves at the divider, still laughing*

Everyone, including Trish and Brekke, went over to Rei's temple and sat in her study room. Discussion began on what the monsters were after.

Victoria: (Rei) The Almighty Cheese.
Trish: (Ami) Sweden!
Kari: (Lita) Brekke, and with that in mind, let's tie her up and leave her outside.
Brekke: Agreed!

"They seem to want only the brightest crystals," Ami put together. "And so far, both have been from Dimension scouts."

Victoria: I hate to say it, but that black one certainly wasn't bright.
Kari: If I remember correctly, it absorbed light.
Brekke: Ami-chan no baka!

"Is there a connection?" Rei wondered.

Kala: (Ami) Of course not!

"But why do they want the crystals? There must be a reason," Mina pondered.

Kari: They want to make a giant Elvis sculpture out of crystals.
Kala: Back in the mother/fatherland we used crystals for toothbrushes...

They looked at the silent Trish and Brekke, who still didn't have their full memory restored. Trish had been with the other scouts for longer than Brekke, but she was still just as confused. There were still many gaps in her memory. Such as she didn't remember a thing of her childhood on the moon or the battle with Queen Beryl.

Trish: They weren't even AT that battle! Of course they don't remember!

Trish shrugged at their silent question and said, "I know as much as you. Actually, a lot less."

Trish: Shush. All of you.
Victoria: *snickers*

"I don't know anything either," Brekke said as they glanced at her.

Brekke: Of course not!
Victoria: For once, I agree.

"Nobody knows anything except for the people who are after the crystals. Maybe-" Mina was cut off as Rei's phone rang.

Rei frowned and picked it up. After a few moments of "uh huh"s and "ok's" she hung up and sighed.

Kari: (Rei) Stupid solicitors. Wanted to sell me a crystal toothbrush...
Victoria: (Rei) That was Hades telling us the four horsemen of the Apocalypse will be here soon.

"Darien is in the hospital," she said bluntly.

All: *cheer*

"What?!" The others, excluding Trish and Brekke who had no idea who Darien was, exclaimed.

"What happened? Is he ok?" Serena questioned worriedly.

Kala: (Rei) He's dead.
Others: *cheer*

She had stood up so Rei pushed her back into her seat as she replied, "He's fine. He got hit by a truck while riding his motorcycle home. He only has a broken arm and fractured leg and will have to stay in the hospital for a week."

Kari: That's a strange sort of fine.

"And you say he's fine?!"

Kari: Exactly!

Serena exclaimed again and jumped up. "I'm going to see him right now!"

"Serena! Wait!" Ami cried.

Trish: (Ami) Considering the past events of this pitiful story, this is either a trap or it's a trap that's not a trap! Either way, we need to come with you so that we can stand around and attempt to be useful!
Victoria: ...when all it really takes it a well-placed cat...

"Yeah, we're coming with you!" Lita said as she got up as well.

Trish: (Ami) Geez, summarize, won't you?

Serena was at the door as she replied, "Ok, but let's hurry!"

Brekke: No!
Kala: Back in the mother/fatherland, hurrying was for the weak. If they have an illness, they'll either die or disappear. Hurrying does not help.

They ran out the door and towards the hospital with Trish and Brekke trailing, completely confused.

Kari: Just like we are! Woo!
Brekke: Heheh. Right. We are. Woo?
Victoria: Ah, predictability. Anybody up for what's going to happen next?
Kari: Deus ex Machina!
Kala: Animal intervention.
Victoria: And I bet that Mikos and Platos will return to do some sort of lame attack.
Trish: Next Monster-of-the-Day goes after Darien!
Kari: Ah, if only we were so lucky...
